FIRST is an acronym - For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.

Teachers and mentors who work with these kids can tell you, FIRST delivers on it's name: students are inspired to pursue more avenues of STEM because of FIRST. Teachers and mentors are inspired as well, many of whom have been committed years and years because they see the results.
